Sie wurde erstmals 2003 von einem gemeinsamen russisch-amerikanischen Wissenschaftlerteam am synthesized.\u00a0<a title=\"Vereinigtes Institut f\u00fcr Kernforschung\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Joint_Institute_for_Nuclear_Research\">Vereinigtes Institut f\u00fcr Kernforschung<\/a>\u00a0(JINR) in\u00a0<a title=\"Dubna\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dubna\">Dubna<\/a>, Russland. Im Dezember 2015 wurde es als eines von vier neuen Elementen durch die\u00a0<a title=\"IUPAC\/IUPAP Gemeinsame Arbeitsgruppe\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/IUPAC\/IUPAP_Joint_Working_Party\">Gemeinsame Arbeitsgruppe<\/a>\u00a0internationaler wissenschaftlicher Gremien\u00a0<a title=\"Internationale Union f\u00fcr reine und angewandte Chemie\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/International_Union_of_Pure_and_Applied_Chemistry\">IUPAC<\/a>\u00a0und\u00a0<a title=\"Internationale Union f\u00fcr reine und angewandte Physik\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/International_Union_of_Pure_and_Applied_Physics\">IUPAP<\/a>. Am 28. November 2016 wurde es offiziell nach dem benannt\u00a0<a title=\"Moskauer Oblast\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Moscow_Oblast\">Moskauer Oblast<\/a>, in dem sich das JINR befindet.<sup id=\"cite_ref-IUPAC-20161130_6-0\" class=\"reference\"><\/sup><sup id=\"cite_ref-IUPAC-June2016_8-0\" class=\"reference\"><\/sup><\/p>\n<p>Moscovium ist ein extrem\u00a0<a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Radioaktiv\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Radioactive\">radioaktiv<\/a>\u00a0Element: Sein stabilstes bekanntes Isotop, Moscovium-290, hat eine\u00a0<a title=\"Halbwertszeit\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Half-life\">Halbwertszeit<\/a>\u00a0von nur 0,65 Sekunden.<sup id=\"cite_ref-shesummary_9-0\" class=\"reference\"><\/sup>\u00a0Im\u00a0<a title=\"Periodensystem\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Periodic_table\">Periodensystem<\/a>, es ist ein\u00a0<a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"P-Block\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/P-block\">p-Block<\/a>\u00a0<a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Transactinoid\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Transactinide_element\">Transactinoid<\/a>. Moscovium wird berechnet, einige Eigenschaften zu haben, die denen seiner leichteren Homologe \u00e4hneln,\u00a0<a title=\"Stickstoff\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nitrogen\">Stickstoff<\/a>,\u00a0<a title=\"Phosphor\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Phosphorus\">Phosphor<\/a>,\u00a0<a title=\"Arsen\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Arsenic\">Arsen<\/a>,\u00a0<a title=\"Antimon\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Antimony\">Antimon<\/a>, und\u00a0<a title=\"Bismut\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bismuth\">Bismut<\/a>, und zu sein\u00a0<a title=\"Nach\u00fcbergangsmetall\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Post-transition_metal\">Post-\u00dcbergangsmetall<\/a>, obwohl es auch mehrere wesentliche Unterschiede zu ihnen aufweisen sollte. Insbesondere sollte Moscovium auch signifikante \u00c4hnlichkeiten aufweisen mit\u00a0<a title=\"Thallium\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Thallium\">Thallium<\/a>, da beide ein eher lose gebundenes Elektron au\u00dferhalb eines quasi-geschlossenen\u00a0<a title=\"Elektronenschale\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Electron_shell\">Muschel<\/a>.
